President's Message

I am excited to announce that the Eastern Communication Association 109th annual convention is in the books and we are already starting to work on the 110thannual convention in Providence. The 109th convention was a success because of the outstanding primary conventions planners and interest group leaders. I am forever grateful to everyone that helped me plan the 109th convention in Pittsburgh, PA. The program was packed with exciting panels that promoted opportunities for listening, learning, and engaging others in GREAT conversations. I hope you enjoyed eating cookies, participating in paper and panels sessions, eating kielbasa and pierogies at the Welcome Reception, going to the Pirate game, collaborating with others at the Connect Conference, attending Pittsburgh Public Theater's Production of Hamlet, celebrating Ben Bates at the President’s Reception and did I mention eating COOKIES!

I am eager to start working on my initiatives to improve our graduate and undergraduate experiences with ECA and to collaborate with our state associations. Thank you for a GREAT year as Vice President and I look forward to serving as your ECA President.
