MEMBERSHIP Committee
Membership: President (Chair), Immediate Past President, First Vice President, First Vice President Elect, Executive Director, and five members at large elected by the Executive Council and four students. At large membership should include diverse institutions and ranks and include contingent faculty, assistant professors, associate professors, full professors, community college faculty, four-year faculty and graduate degree institutions. Student membership should include two undergraduate students and two graduate students.
At large and student membership will be a one-year term with an opportunity for two additional consecutive one year terms. Terms begin at Executive Council I at each ECA convention.
Responsibilities: Grow the Association membership, create a membership plan for the Association, contact educational facilities in the area where the convention takes place to increase awareness of and attendance at the ECA convention and make appropriate recommendations concerning membership issues (fees, etc.) to the Executive Council.
Meetings: The Membership Committee typically holds two meetings prior to the annual ECA convention.
