ECA 110th Convention - Communication and Technology Interest Group Call for Papers
CALL FOR PAPERS
Communication and Technology Interest Group
Eastern Communication Association
110th Annual ECA Convention
April 10-14, 2019
Omni Providence Hotel, Providence, RI
The Communication and Technology Interest Group is requesting paper and panel submissions for the 110th Annual ECA Convention in Providence, RI. The convention theme, Creating Our Future, is centered on the idea we can use our resources to create better education, successful relationships, and efficient communication. Particularly, this interest group seeks submissions that explore ways to provide better education in communication and technology. The field of technology has recently experienced something of a renaissance. We are interested in submissions that present the fruits of that renaissance and point to the future. Technology is alive and well but fragmented in the ECA region into disparate groups that do not always pursue the same goals or teach the same practices. We are interested in submissions that either salute the variety or attempt to establish common ground. We hope that such submissions might point to the technology future.
Papers and panel/program proposals must be submitted electronically by Monday, October 15, 2018.
ECA will now be using Attendee Interactive to manage submissions and reviews. This is the same system used by the National Communication Association so you may be familiar with it. The deadline for submissions remains the same, October 15, 2018 at 11:59 PM. You will be prompted to create a new User ID and Password to submit your work. An email will be sent to the membership in the next couple of months to announce when Attendee Interactive will be open for submission. Additional information, including a link to the submission page, will be sent to ECA members on the day the submission website opens.
