Membership Categories

Membership in the Eastern Communication Association includes:

• a subscription to three scholarly Journals:
  • Communication Quarterly
  • Communication Research Reports, and
  • Qualitative Research Reports in Communication;
• discounted rate to attend the annual regional convention

Membership in the Eastern Communication Association also

• presents the opportunity for active participation in selected interest groups
• access to Members' Only section of the website
• voting rights in general ECA elections
• the opportunity to participate in governance and leadership of the organization
• networking opportunities, and
• eligibility for awards to gain recognition.

An annual subscription to all other regional journals (The Southern Communication Journal, Communication Studies, Communication Reports, and Western Journal of Communication) is available to ECA members for an additional $45.00.

Membership categories include:

• Regular Member $50
• Student Member (must provide documentation to verify student status/ECA Journal Subscription optional) $15
• Retired Member $25
• Sponsor Member (includes one prepaid convention registration if paid prior to March 1st) $90
• Life Member (includes all convention fees, subscription to ECA journals and all regional journals for life) $1000 (can be paid out in 4 payments of $250)
• Departmental Member (includes ECA Journal Subscription, listing on the ECA website, 1 free job posting per year, plus 2 complimentary student memberships.) $125
